Lets Make Change.

More Gore

Gore is still being ambiguous about his feelins on running for president in 2008. Many believe that he is waiting to be the candidate that has such a buzz of support that he has no choice but to succumb to the will of the people and be carried to the convention on their soldiers. That’s what I think or at least its what I hope.

In 2000 Gore was a stuffy character who was too easy to make fun of. Now, older and wiser, I truly believe Gore is ready to be the maverick candidate we all want him to be. He is already speaking his mind to Philadelphia's City Paper and to The Guardian:

In an interview with the Guardian today, the former vice-president calls himself a "recovering politician", but launches into the political fray more explicitly than he has previously done during his high-profile campaigning on the threat of global warming.

Denying that his politics have shifted to the left since he lost the court battle for the 2000 election, Mr Gore says: "If you have a renegade band of rightwing extremists who get hold of power, the whole thing goes to the right."

That's the kind of candid talk the Democrats need in '08. Someone who's willing to stand up and say 'Americans are Democrats when it comes to the issues that matter and don't let anyone convince you that just because I care about the environment that I'm out of touch with the country.'

I'm convinced that candidate is Al Gore.
