Iran Talks: Making Progress.

Progress was made in talks regarding Iran’s nuclear agenda said State Department spokesman Sean McCormack about Wednesday’s London negotiations. This news comes after Whitehouse Press Secretary, Tony Snow, stated that the president may consider one-on-one talks with Iran if they cease their quest for weapons grade nuclear capabilities.

Iran still claims they have no intention of using their nuclear program for anything other than civilian power but Washington seams to think otherwise.

Although word of progress is coming from the talks there is no news as to what exactly is being discussed and what the nature of the progress actually is.

He would not discuss details of the closed-door meeting in London of Burns and the political directors from the other four permanent members of the UN Security Council and Germany.

The talks had been shrouded in secrecy as the powers thrashed out a new attempt to end a standoff over an Iranian nuclear program that Tehran insists is civilian but Washington suspects has military purposes, AFP stated.
