Lets Make Change.

And I thought we were “liberators”?

Capt. Rogelio “Roger” Maynulet was found guilty yesterday for the shooting death of a wounded Iraqi citizen last year. Maynulet, a U.S. Army tank company commander, claimed that he killed the man to put him out of his suffering. Prosecutors argued the dubious nature of that claim.

Maynulet faces up to 10 years in prison on the charge of assault with intent to commit voluntary manslaughter. The prosecutors understandable championed a harsher penalty – the charge of assault with intent to commit murder – which could carry up to 20 years in prison.

The court will decide his sentence in a session later today.
