  1. In case you overlooked it, there was no family dissent, and there was quite a few other machines keeping him alive, not just a feeding tube.

  2. who cares about family dissent? DeLay was closer to his father than he is to Terri Schaivo!

And who care how many machines there are? DeLay has the cash!

  5. Gladly. The Schaivo issue is about the fact that since Terri cannot speak for herself, someone has to make the decision for her.

The conservative position is that we need to run more tests to determine if she really is in a persistent vegitative state, and then move forward from there. Now on who should decide that, conservatives believe that the legislators of the state should decide, since according to Jeffersons government, it is the will of the people. But, now that the judicial branch has overstepped its boundaries, it should be sent to the federal level for review…that is all.

This isn’t about how Tom Delay is trying to distract Americans or how immoral and hypocritical this is. There are two different cases. I dont know much about his case but I can guarantee you that numerous tests had been done on his father, and that no one close to the him really opposed Delays decision.
