A Bit Of History

Now this is not a history blog but I came across this shot passage in Jean Bennett’s “Cracking the AP US History Exam” and I found it to be so funny that I just had to post it. But for first time bloggers, don’t worry, I wont be doing more than one history post a month. Scouts honor.

Alexander Hamilton swallowed hard and capaigned for Jefferson, with whom he disagreed on most issues and whom he personally disliked, because he believed Burr to be “a most unfit and dangerous man.” Burr later proved Hamilton right by killing him.

  1. Another qote from the same text that is sad but true

“Adams even stooped to attacking Jackson’s wife. And thus the modern political campaign was born”

  2. I love Mrs. Bennett! I saw that and laughed, too.

But, as Joseph J Ellis would pose the salient question of, “Did Burr actually mean to kill Hamilton?”
